Effective March 25, 2025, South Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance has imposed a four-month provisional anti-dumping duty of 21.62% on hot-rolled stainless steel plates from China (thickness ≥ 4.75mm, width ≥ 600mm).

📌 Applicable under HS codes:

7219.21.1010, 7219.21.1090, 7219.21.9000,

7219.22.1010, 7219.22.1090, 7219.22.9000.

❌ Exclusions:

1. Hot-rolled coils

2. Black plates made from stainless steel slab

3. Plates ≤ 8mm thick and < 2000mm wide under certain sub-codes

🧾 The move follows a September 2024 anti-dumping investigation and a January 2025 affirmative preliminary ruling by the Korea Trade Commission.

📅 Valid through July 24, 2025.

📣 A significant development for stainless exporters, especially those targeting the Korean market.
